Since opening to the public in September 1990, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum has established itself as an important community resource, becoming one of the metropolitan area’s major educational institutions serving children and families. To date, more than 2 million people have visited the museum and more than 470,000 children have participated in school field trip programs designed to supplement the curriculum in innovative ways.
Lied Discovery Children’s Museum contains 23,000 square feet of temporary and permanent hands-on exhibits exploring science, art, culture and early childhood development. You and your children will be part of an informal learning environment highlighting discovery, surprise, and creative expression!
The participatory nature of the museum’s exhibits and programs encourages interaction between child and adult, providing an opportunity for them to share a special learning experience through the joy of discovery. The museum is centrally located for easy access from all areas of Las Vegas, and is committed to serving children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.
COMING SOON … We are moving to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in November 2012 – the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum at the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center in Symphony Park! For more information, visit NowToWow.org.
