Title: Coordinator of Visitor Services
Description: Lied Discovery Children’s Museum seeks an experienced and self-motivated full-time Coordinator of Visitor Services to supervise the daily operations of the museum floor, including customer interaction and service as well as the admissions and gift shop areas. The position reports to the Director of Learning Experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for childrens’ education and learning and will be experienced in management and customer service. S/He will supervise all museum floor operations as it relates to the visitor experience. S/He will also supervise all staff and volunteers (teens and adults) working on the museum floor as well as the cashier, admissions and gift shop processes.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in management, human services or related field and/or a minimum of 2 years managerial experience. Museum experience or experience working with children preferred. Retail experience is a plus.
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday

Presenter I/Birthday Party Presenter (part-time)
Description: Lied Discovery Children’s Museum seeks a self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to work as a part of an interpretive floor team comprised of adults and teen volunteers and interns. S/He will interact with teachers, students and families to explain hands on exhibits, present interactive demonstrations and assist with the development of special activities. S/He will also host birthday parties on weekends; including but not limited to duties such as preparing party rooms for parties, presenting activities, party invoicing, etc. The position reports to the Manager of Visitor Services and Manager of YouthWorks and Volunteer Services. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for children and learning and will have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. S/He must also have the ability to walk for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required. Some college preferred. Teaching and/or early childhood education experience preferred. Candidate must possess good customer service skills, multitasking skills, presentation skills, as well as be accurate and detail oriented, with ability to handle fast-paced environment in a friendly and professional manner. Spanish is a plus.
Schedule: Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays and various days during the week.
